My thoughts. Still reeling. What an incredible 3 days. All photography. All day long. I am inspired. I am humbled. It is about the art. It is about the heart. It is about the vision. It is about the craft. It is about the geek. It is about nurturing both sides. It was a marathon of a conference. Up early, classes all day, little to eat, final lectures from 8-10pm, home at 11pm and repeat the next day. Not wanting to miss a thing. Hanging out with photography masters. Feeling intimated. Being brave and asking questions. Meeting all kinds of photographers, sharing work. Finally learning why I like the photos I do and tips to make them again. Setting goals. Taking a photo that has something to say. Maximizing mood. Drawing the eye. Allowing color to control the mood. Having the photo tell a story. Doing what I love to do. Listening to criticism. Post processing. Lightroom. Photoshop. Apple logo’s, technology, equipment lust. Watching the PC people squirm. Mindfullness. Portfolio review. Seeing my photos on the ballroom’s big screen. Wanting to hide under the table. Feeling proud. Nurturing my vision. See you again next year. I can’t wait.
